"Good afternoon Chris,
As I get back to some sort of normality after the last few weeks, I just wanted to take the opportunity of thanking you and Jan for all your assistance in ensuring that Malcolm's funeral went very smoothly on Friday.
In addition, your recommendation of Julie as the celebrant was inspired. She was absolutely the right person and I was very impressed by the way in which she assisted us in the preparation of the service and the manner in which she conducted it on the day.
As you know we all held the prospect of an actual burial in some trepidation. I have to say that from my perspective, I didn't find it as bad an experience as I had anticipated. Indeed, I don't know whether it was the location, the weather or something else, but, on reflection afterwards, in a bizarre way I found it quite an acceptable experience as an alternative to a cremation and most importantly it was what Malcolm had requested and I think we all did his funeral proud.

I am sorry that it has taken me a week or so to get back in touch with you after the beautiful send off you gave for us for my son. I remember during the service that you gave us, the song 'Impossible' by James Arthur and I glanced up at you and saw that you had tears in your eyes, and that made me have so much respect for you because in your job it must be hard, but you take each person who comes to you like your own.
You are such a caring, wonderful man and I am so, so happy that Lisa found you to do the service for us, and the order of service books were beautiful.
I can't thank you enough, we took up much of your time, even letting your fish dinner go cold lol, but you did not mind. When we came into see my son, you never made us feel rushed or anything like that.
I will love to pop in and see you when I am passing when I am due back.

"I would like to thank Chris and Jan Rounce for all their support and help during a very difficult time. My father wanted a small, quiet and dignified funeral and they were able to give my family exactly what he wanted at an exceptionally affordable cost. My father was not a member of any established religion but they suggested Jane, a humanist celebrant, and she arranged a lovely ceremony that included all the family's memories of Dad and his favourite music.
My family are so grateful for the help of everyone at Rounce, especially considering the number of calls that had to be made over the weekend he died and the changes we had to make to the funeral date to accommodate the family members who were coming from far away. They could not have been kinder and more helpful and I would be happy to recommend them to anyone who needs a kind and supportive funeral director to help them through such a sad experience.
